Hello my lovelies,

There’s something about sale signs that are just too intriguing, amiright? I can walk past a store I know nothing about and the large “Today Only: Up to 50% off” signs will pull me in like a magnet! I must know what deals I could be getting, regardless if I actually need them or not. =) Is it a problem? Yes. Am I going to keep going inside? Most definitely!

The only thing better than sale signs in a random store is a sale sign in front of one of your favorites! While out at the mall with friends I saw that Cotton On was having an “End of Season” clearance sale. Everything from the previous season’s collection was between 30-60% off! I was able to find several versatile pieces to add to my wardrobe and managed to save a ton of money too!

Cotton On is a great place to look for staples. Their fabrics are so soft and cozy, yet thin enough for Philippine weather (or an American summer). They are sort of like a less expensive Brandy Melville option. They’re also great items for traveling, since most of their pieces don’t wrinkle like crazy and are lighter than their competitors. With the crazy prices of checked-in bags for most airlines, it can be nice to have shirts and dresses that easily fit in a carry-on.

The first piece I picked up was a light berry t-shirt dress. The official color is grape, but I’ve never seen a grape that looked this color. =) My coworkers swear by these dresses! Short enough to allow comfortable leg motion and long enough to keep everything covered, I was excited to find one in an adorable color. The slight scoop hem on the sides of the dress also adds interest. I sized up (got a Medium) for maximum comfort. {If you purchase them in the States they’re originally $24.95, but right now you can get two dresses for $30} Other available colors are black/white striped, solid black, olive camo, cream/khaki striped and cream/black striped.

Original Price: $24.95

Price I paid: $8.57

Savings: $16.38

Statement necklaces are my favorite jewelry pieces as a teacher. They add a lot of interest to my typical tunic top and colored jean “uniform.” The cubic shapes are fun, and the sparkle is enough glam for any princess. =)

Original Price: $11.26

Price I paid: $2.14

Savings: $9.12

Another area I should learn to stay away from is the shoe department. There’s always a pair I must, must, must have. These nude elastic strap-up flats are great with shorts, jeans or dresses. I love the ballerina-esque look! The pair is sold out on the US Cotton On Site, but Payless has a similar option for $19.99.

Original Price: $24.14

Price I paid: $8.57

Savings: $15.57

Every girl needs a bit of Mickey Mouse in her life! This chambray hat is part of Cotton On’s Disney collection but is a fraction of the Disney Store price! The decal is so cute, and I love that the hat can be adjusted to fit my big head. =) Once again, the hat is not available on the US website, but Amazon has a few options if you’re feeling inspired to join the Mickey Mouse Club!

Original Price: $9.95

Price I paid: $2.86

Savings: $7.09

I have been looking for a romper that fit everything it was supposed to for over a year now, so imagine my excitement when I went into a changing room expecting to try on a dress and found out it was actually an adorable romper! My day got so much better! The neckline is high and the short portion doesn’t leave anything exposed. Two pockets and a deep key-hole back exceeded even my greatest romper expectations! =)

Original Price: $29.95

Price I paid: $12.86

Savings: $17.09

The last piece I picked up on my Cotton On sale excursion was a “dusty raspberry” crochet-trim tank top. Again, the title doesn’t really match the actual item, and the top is more of a very ripe cantaloupe color. It has a very slight crop, so I’ll be pairing it with high-waisted jeans and skirts.

Original Price: $19.95

Price I paid: $8.57

Savings: $11.38

All together on this trip I spent $43.57 and saved $76.63! Each item was around $7, which is a bunch of great deals! Now my wallet is yelling at me to stop going out ever again, but it was worth it! =)

What kind of sales have you visited lately?

xoxo,

Heidi Joy
