It's Not Easy Being Green

Hello my lovelies,
It seems like overnight all of the trees and yards in my neighborhood have sprouted new leaves and grown a foot! The bright green view out of my window is so encouraging. Spring is making itself known, and reminding us that summer is on its way! While nature is showing off it’s new green foliage, I like to wear green too. During the holidays, I gear towards jade and emerald green, but during the sunshine months give me all the Kelly and bright greens!
Here are a few green outfits that won’t cost you a lot of green =)

This New York & Company lace fit and flare dress was a NWT thrift store find last summer ($7). The neckline is a unique blend between sleeveless and a halter style, showing off your shoulders. Once I get some sun I really appreciate the way the bright color highlights a tan. It can be worn on its own, or with a light denim jacket like this one. It’s not in stores anymore, but you can purchase very similar options from Poshmark or Ebay.

For more casual events (graduation parties, family picnics, shopping etc) this grass green stretchy spaghetti dress from Amazon is under $20, plus it ships for free! There are 10+ other colors you can choose from if green isn’t your thing.

Perfect for work-from-home lounging, this matching loungewear set is less than $8 per piece. It feels like you’re in pajamas all day. You can also mix and match the two items for even more outfit options.

If your occupation’s uniform doesn’t allow for bright colors, you can wear the color on your nails or eyelids! Essie’s “Shake your $$ maker” or OPI’s “Stay Off My Lawn” are two fun nail options, and this palette by Colourpop is full of green glitter.
What’s your favorite shade of green to wear?
I hope you all are staying safe!
Xoxo,
Heidi Joy
