Ergonomic and trendy—wedges are a hit on all levels!

Wedges are great for summertime events where you’re on your feet for hours at a time (think weddings, grad parties, or a family reunion). Designed to support your foot, wedges allow you to stay comfortable without sacrificing beauty! I’m terrible at walking in heels, so wedges are my favorite! It’s easier to wear higher heels when you don’t have to worry about twisting your ankle or tripping on uneven ground.

Wedges can be worn with flowy maxi dresses, rompers or a more casual shorts and blouse ensemble. I like to keep outfits simpler when I’m wearing wedges, saving my stilettos and pumps for dressier occasions.

Most stores have jumped on the highly successful wedge bandwagon, so you can find multiple colors, styles and heel heights! In my opinion, Payless Shoe Source has the best variety for the best price. At the end of each season they have $5 clearance sales, which are the perfect time to pick up a few pairs!

These are a few of my favorites that I or my mom and sister have thrifted, been gifted or purchased over the past few seasons!

Navy, with cute cut-outs and a peep-toe, this pair of flats gives fantastic support! The heel is low enough you can wear them all day without discomfort. You can purchase a similar pair here for less than $30 (2500 pesos).

If you prefer a higher heel, this bright floral printed wedge is for you! The peep-toe lets you show off your painted nails during the summer, and the “Deflex Comfort” sole is like a pillow for your foot. My favorite part is the small cut-outs on the side of the fabric strap. It’s little details like that that make shoes fun. This style also comes in black and white, and is less than $25 (2200 pesos).

This red sueded pair is perfect for 4th of July barbeques. Adding dark wash jeans and a classic white button down would be a classy way to represent Ol’ Glory. You can purchase a similar pair here or here.

Gold stud accents, buckles and lace-up straps are the highlights of this pair of cork wedges. Thrifted for less than $2, the wide straps ensure your foot stays in place and doesn’t go sliding around.

Guaranteed to make any outfit a little girlier, these coral strappy wedges are one of my favorite pairs of shoes! It’s possible shoes are my weakness…=)
