Raindrops Falling On My Head

Hello my lovelies,

Living in a tropical country means it rains - a LOT! Hair gets bigger (thanks humidity), days grow gloomy, and it can be hard to stay cheery through the dreary and overcast days. I like to break the weather monotony with bright pops of color!

Yellow is one of my go-to colors to make me smile! This Talbots raincoat (a gifted, thrifted item) is multi-functional! It not only wards off summer rain showers, it adds a bit of sunshine to an outfit!

The large plastic buttons keep the jacket nicely secured, without fear of ruining the adorable outfit you’re sure to be wearing underneath. =) Large pockets with the ability to fasten can hold traveling essentials, including electronics.

One of my favorite parts of this jacket is the blue and white striped lining! The stripes remind me of sailing and resort wear. Nautical-esque pieces are so cute!

Keep your feet dry by wearing rain boots or a pair of plastic jellies.

Since my raincoat is no longer available, here are a few other options at different price points. This Nordstrom coat is pricey but adorable. This yellow slicker from Target comes in a child’s size 18-20 (a Ladies small), and this navy floral coat from Forever 21 comes in a child’s XL (a Ladies small). Children's sizes are cheaper, so you can splurge and buy a raincoat in two different colors! ;)

Stay dry my lovelies, but don’t forget to dance in the rain sometimes!

Xoxo
