“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”- Aristotle

As an elementary teacher it is important that I wear clothes that are fun and also able to withstand the tears, hugs, and craft projects that are part of a typical teaching day.

I like to pair colored pants or capris with a solid or subtle patterned blouse. Finding a pair of pants in a primary color is pretty easy and there is just something about wearing a bright color that makes people smile! Check your school’s dress codes to make sure colored jeans are permissible!

Here are a few options that are flexible enough for playground duty: Gap//J. Crew//Old Navy//Nordstrom

If you’re wanting to accessorize your outfit you can add a belt to highlight your waist. That will give definition without adding any bulk!

Another way to bring in more “style” to this look would be to add a patterned scarf. A scarf covers any low necklines and provides warmth in the spring/fall months.

I like to get my scarves from Forever 21 or Kohls. They always have cute options. Stripes or polka dots are the easiest patterns to rock!

Let me know your favorite “teacher” outfits in the comments below!
